Living in the award winning gardens of the Alamo battleground was a cat named C.C. (Mistress Clara Carmack). Our beloved C.C. passed away in the summer of 2014. C.C., as you can see from her photo, was a regal feline who was aware of her importance. At times she liked holding court outside, where she greeted visitors. On other occasions she retreated to the library to seek solace among the books. She liked reading about Ms. Clara Driscoll, who with Adina de Zavala, saved the Alamo from being demolished. C.C. was loved and cared for by all members of the Alamo staff, who remember her fondly.
